I grew up in Northwest Illinois along the Mississippi River. I attended Jordan Catholic grade school and Alleman High School in Rock Island, IL. I majored in elementary education at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, IA with endorsements in language arts and social studies. I graduated cum laude in December of 2000. My first teaching job was at Seton Catholic School in Moline, IL teaching fourth grade. My family then moved to Northwest Iowa and I soon found myself teaching kindergarten at St. Mary School. After five years, we joined our extended families back in the Quad-Cities and I began teaching sixth grade at Seton. Our most recent move brought us to Bloomington, where we are thoroughly enjoying time with family and new friends. My husband Jody and I enjoy our three children: Kennedy, Tristan, and Braham. Our weekends find us watching Kennedy’s basketball games, Tristan’s football games, and enjoying each other. My hobbies include: photography, shopping, traveling, gardening, and reading. We, as a family, thank God for giving us the opportunity to give of ourselves to this community.
