Sarah Hoeniges

As a former St. Mary’s student, I consider myself truly blessed to be teaching at my alma mater. After attending Central Catholic High School I continued my education at Heartland Community College , where I received my Associates Degree. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University in December 2005. During the spring of 2006, I substitute taught in both of our local school districts as well as the private schools in our community.

My memories of St. Mary’s include a warm and caring environment, and family atmosphere. It is so fulfilling now to be able to return this as an educator. I am enjoying meeting the kids and families in our parish, and look forward to seeing my 3 and 4 year olds in my very first classroom as they grow and move on through elementary school.

I enjoy spending my free time with my family, especially my nieces, as well as reading and enjoying the outdoors.
