This is Mrs. Mason's second year with St. Mary's School. She maintains the
Crusader Library, teaches K-4 library skills and 5th-8th study skills, and
teaches K-3rd techology classes.
Prior to beginning her teaching career, Mrs. Mason was employed at State
Farm Group Medical Division as a Health Claims Examiner. After spending
several years there, she returned to school and recieved a B.S. in
Biological Science Education (6-12)from Illinois State University. After graduating, she taught high school science at University High School, and
GED classes through the Regional Office of Education.
After the birth of her 4th child, she took time off from teaching and began
growing flowers. This therapeutic adventure quickly turned into a part-time
career and you can find Mrs. Mason selling flowers at the Bloomington
Farmers Market every Saturday morning from 6:45-11:00 a.m.
Mrs. Mason and her husband Scott are parents to 6 children, 5 of whom are
currently attending St. Mary's School, 1 at CCHS. St. Mary's Church has been
a blessing to their family and functions to offer spiritual, social, and
emotional support on a daily basis.
Mrs. Mason is excited about the 2007-2008 school year! The library continues
to see incredible changes including: continued automation, expanded
collection of both fiction and non-fiction book, and some really awesome
book fairs!
